"The minute I met Kim Canale, I realised she was someone who is not just passionate about art – and she is very passionate about art – she is also passionate about life. She cares deeply about people, places, food, gardens and connecting to people through the power of art. She wants people to feel that power. There have been times when Kim's own art has been set aside as she promoted the work of others as she is a natural when it comes to nurturing fellow creatives. I am always happy though when I see Kim totally immersed in her own painting. There is a freedom and wildness in Kim's paintings as she constantly strives to express her feelings through the seemingly simple medium of applying marks on paper or canvas. Believe me, it's not that simple. Her work connects with the part of me that figurative or purely representational painting bypasses and now that Kim is devoting more time to her own art, I can't wait to say where it goes."

ABOUT
KIM CANALE
Kim Canale’s paintings are tender explorations of memory, emotion, and the spaces that exist beyond words. Working in abstraction, she creates intimate, gestural pieces that speak in their own quiet language. Her work often evokes the sea and sky, not as literal landscapes, but as emotional terrains - vast, ever-shifting, and deeply personal.
